IDEASET A text feedback or brainstorming tool; optional bins can be used to pre-sort responses to one question (e.g., by function, topic, geography, etc.) or to ask multiple questions.
MATRIX A multi-purpose table. Users can add rows and edit them. Table is sortable by column. Table cells can be hyperlinked, allowing for "nested" Matrix tools (e.g. goals within goals). 10 column types.
DISCUSSION Records participant comments on multiple topics in sequence – anonymously or "signed". Allows replies to specific comments for a "threaded" discussion. Reduces info overload via e-mail.
LIBRARY Online file storage for important group documents. Highly secure. Any registered user can upload and download files easily. Includes description field for quick identification of files.
SURVEY A tool that integrates common survey functions including text answers, multiple choice, single choice, ranking, and "scalar voting" like Likert scales, for scoring statements -10 to +10]
SLIDESHOW A presenter for PowerPoint slides, movies, animations, or graphics. Shows slides in viewer linked from anywhere in a WebCouncil site. Any user can be set to advance slides for all.
CHECKVOTE Commonly called "multi-voting." Used for picking favorites from long lists. Similar to "dot voting" on flipcharts. Result screen shows group's favorites. Includes optional comments field.
FLIPCHART An online flipchart for capturing and displaying group notes. During a conference call, any user can take notes for the group. Through "auto-refresh", all can see the notes as they are written.
TOPRANK Forced ranking. Used for prioritizing short lists of well-understood items. Each user re-orders a list in response to given criteria. Result screen shows group's ranking. Includes optional comments field.
SORT A tool for building meaningful themes out of voluminous data and sorting items into predefined categories. Includes a fast, what-if, keyword search mechanism.
MULTISCALES Score multiple items by multiple criteria, all at once. See results in as well as graphically.
